CrossPlay Functionality of Destiny 2 will unify players with a singular bungie name

Destiny 2 CrossPlay FULL REVEAL! | What You NEED to KNOW!

Bungie has just published more information on the next Multiplatform support for Destiny 2 in its blog article. Unfortunately, however, the community of players is still in the ignorance of an official launch of the Cross-Game Destiny 2, with the exception of the promise it will come out "early" in season 15, which already had to start on the 24th August.

Apart from this new Cross-Game Facility Destiny 2, all players' experiences will be unified, regardless of the platform used by a singular bungie name. This name, like PLAYERNAME # 1234, will be generated according to the platform used during the first connection. Players will have the opportunity to change his name towards the end of this year, but it will not be before a moment.

There will be a process of moderation to prevent offensive words from making a path. Some characters that are not displayable on their system, such as those that can not be entered in the player's search box using the console's virtual keyboards, will also be deleted.

For PVE mode of the game, the matches will be derived from a global pool. However, for competitive modes, namely trials, crucible, Iron Banner and Gambit, there will be a special matchmaking process CrossPlay Destiny 2. PC players will be one-to-face with other PC players. Console players will also play other console players and can even play with Stadia players, who can use the mouse and keyboard. The only way for the crossed game Destiny 2 to happen between PC and Console players is if it is partying with the first. The console player will then be included in the PC players' pool. This crossed matchmaking process may eventually change at some point.

It was in December 2020 that Bungie announced for the first time to the players' community that Destiny 2 would officially receive a Crossplay support in 2021. In May, however, some players were able to test the functionality when they have accidentally published for a short period. .
