FOCUS Home Interactive: takes over retro experts Dotemu
FOCUS Home Interactive has announced the acquisition of 77.5 percent of the shares of the manufacturer Dotemu - the publisher announced today. According to twinfinite.net, the deal should probably be completed in September. Both companies are located in Paris.
Dotemu has published over 50 games in the retro area for PC, consoles and mobile systems, including re-published and refreshed brands such as Final Fantasy, Streets of Rage, Another World, Double Dragon or Windjammer.
For example, "Street of Rage" has been played by 2.5 million users worldwide, so the press release (probably Streets of Rage 4 meant). Sales of the company is 14.6 million euros. FOCUS Home Interactive explains that you want to benefit from Dotemus expertise in this area. The acquired company in turn is happy about new opportunities in the financial and business administration. Dotemu CEO Cyrille Imberber names the step an "obvious decision", while Focus CEO Christophe Nobileau calls the acquisition as an important step in accelerating growth and diversification of the company.
