Many cancellations: EFL creates Corona

Not only in the Premier League numerous lots are currently colonnaded, even the lower leagues suffer from the current Corona wave. At the Boxing Day, in the second, third and fourth English league, a total of only nine of the planned 32 lots could take place regularly.

As The Athletic reported on Thursday, EFL has now decided to abolish Corona tests for players at match days. Only players who show typical symptoms should continue to be tested in the morning. Non-match days are continued the routine tests for all players. This decision met the EFL together with team physicians from the three leagues.

Last week, it became clear that the requirement of tests at match days in the clubs causes significant concern and uncertainty and the supporters of these teams has seriously affected, a spokesman for EFL said.
